God is love. We should live one another. God has commanded us to live one another. We should show love even when we are correcting each other. When we are harsh with one another it turns people away from God.

For love to be meaningful it must be real, and it cannot be real unless it is based on truth and reality. It is not loving to tolerate what is untrue, and especially what might be harmful to a person. We have to practice love even when it may look like correction.

Loving one another is based on truth because it is God who made us and has called us to love one another, just as Christ has loved us. The 2nd and most important commandment is to love our neighbor as ourself. The world says that it is good to love one another, but they don’t give God the credit and in this way, they are led astray from the one true God and who is the source of love.

God is love and God has directed us to love our neighbors. So we must follow the scripture and love everyone around us, treat them with respect and help when we can.

Jn. 13:35 “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” Discipleship is what we are called to do if we are His follwers. Matt. 28:18-20 tells us that discipleship is more than just the transfer of information. As Christian teachers it is our task to be dedicated followers of Jesus. Jn. 14:15 applies to us.
