If I love someone I want the best for them. Sometimes this love causes us to need to (in love) confront someone. Truth should be our guiding principle. Our adversary builds upon lies. Truth spoken in love combats that and allows each of us an opportunity to be corrected. Prayerfully allowing us to continue on the path of righteousness.

We are to love one another just as Christ loved the church and be like Jesus.

The world tells us that love is tolerance and acceptance, but to operate under this definition is to disregard Truth in some areas. If we truly seek to love others, especially those who operate in a Christian worldview or those who are wanting to learn more from a Christian worldview, we must be careful to uphold the Bible and its principles as Truth and not allow tolerance or acceptance to become idols. True love is truth-based love because it is authentic, bold, kind, and selfless.
