Dr. Black means that the Christian school is important in raising a generation for eternity. Every person in the Christian school bears God’s image (Gen 1:27) and has an eternal destiny (Matt 25:46). Either the person is in Christ (Phil 3:9), awaiting their future inheritance in heaven (Eph 1:14), or the person is apart from Christ, awaiting eternal damnation in hell (Eph 2:1-3). Thus, it is vital for Christian schools to partner with parents and churches to lead students to Jesus and to help repentant students become like Jesus.

We don’t want them to just be competent cognitively, but also relationally and spiritually. We want them to grow to become followers of Christ.

We are to focus not only on academics, but more importantly of critical thinking. Being able to compare and contrast what the world says and what Scripture says.

We need to teach them academically and prepare them in that manner but also teach them to read, learn, and understand what it is God wants for them in their life.

Christian school are important in raising a generation that is not only competent cognitively but helps students be confident in their faith and purpose in the world. It gives the generation a foundation to always fall back on when navigating difficult time.
