Students should keep in mind that they (and all other humans) are eternal beings.

Children are our future. The future of our churches, communities, governments, everything. We can not just focus of educating them with standards curriculum and hope that they will find their way religiously as well.

While we are there to teach specific subjects or content, as Christian educators we must also be mindful that we are not only preparing our students for their earthly futures, but also their eternal futures. We must ensure that they not only learn academically, but grow spiritually.

It is important for all to hear God, to listen to His leading and guidance. Our teaching of skills is important, “take your sword with you” Jesus told the disciples, for we live in this very real world which requires very real work, But we must be held by heaven as well, to take cues from our Heavenly Father, to maneuver through this real world under His direction.
