I interpreted it to mean that in order to integrate the Bible we must first teach the basics of the Bible, God, and what it means to us and why.

The Word must be living – we must be alive through the Word to be able to share the Word with others. In another source, Teaching Redemptively, the author reminds us that all truth is God’s truth, no matter the subject, and learning is accepting something to be true. What we teach, being a part of God’s creation is already a part of God’s Word/Truth.

Godly pedagogy starts from the educator’s relationship with God. The starting point should be the educator living out his/her faith.

Well, first, we must know the Biblical Principal we are electing to infuse. Not just an academic understanding, but a one-on-one relationship with the Principal God has woven in our lives. Then as a legitimate principal we can weave that message into the classroom.

Before one can integrate the Bible into curriculum, a deep familiarity and focused study of Scripture is required. One must be infused with Scripture so that their pedagogy can be infused with Scripture.
