We must first have knowledge of God’s Word and then we must apply it to life and to learning.

He meant that although we are integrating curriculum the foundation and heartbeat were not based on the word of God.

It is a desired result but if we start with anything other than knowledge of God we will lose both the desired outcome and the desire itself. Making anything else the goal will never satisfy and can lead to disappointment if not fulfilled. If we make knowledge of God our goal, we cannot be disappointed when we work toward that and we will reap so many benefits along the way.

Our starting point needs to be the Scriptures. Everything flows from that foundation, including integration.
