A godly pedagogy started simply with God’s Word as the foundation- integration came later. If God’s Word is truly the starting point, we as Christian educators should immerse ourselves in God’s Word, so that it transforms our minds/hearts/attitudes and naturally infuses our teaching.

Dr. Teague means that the starting point needs to be God’s word. God’s word is our foundation. He stated ” We must redouble our efforts to produce a pedagogy grounded in biblical worldview instruction. ” We need to start and end with God’s word.

Integration means that you combine 2 different components to make a whole. However, the implication is that if you can combine 2 things, you also can separate them. A godly pedagogy is one that has Christian principles infused into the DNA of the lessons. It would be nearly impossible to separate out the biblical worldview.

A godly pedagogy should start with the Bible and infuse it in all aspects. Integration sounds like it is placed in after the fact.

We as Christians should be firmly grounded in God’s Word and always learning so that what we teach is infused with God’s truths at all times.
