The Christian educator needs a relationship with God before teaching it to their students. Simply integrating the Bible into the curriculum is not enough if there is not faith behind the teachings. The starting point is personal belief for both the teacher and students.

Integration was never the legitimate starting point for a godly pedagogy. The beginning point is the knowledge of God and God’s word. It is how we use and apply this information to our thinking and understanding.

Our initial step as Christian educators is a careful application of who God is, which we can achieve by immersing ourselves in the process of learning all about him.

To successfully integrate the word of God into the curriculum, one must be deeply immersed in scripture, allowing it to shape their perspective and understanding, enabling them to view everything through its lens, then integration can take place seamlessly
