Dr. Teague meant that integration can not be done without knowledge of godly pedagogy. We will have to infuse ourselves in God’s Word before we can integrate it into our teaching.

The best teaching practice is when you integrate all the senses that God gave us. God gave each of us different ways that we process information, so allowing students the opportunity to internalize information in different ways will benefit them as they learn.

I think that he meant knowledge about God and the word of God, also a personal relationship with God

What I believe Dr. Teague meant when he said, “Integration was never the legitimate starting point for a godly pedagogy,” is that the starting point has to be a personal relationship with God. One cannot start to integrate a godly pedagogy without a intimate understanding of who God and what He has called us to be.

You can’t start with “godly pedagogy” without knowing HIM first. We actually need to begin with a biblical knowledge of His word and know how to apply it in life. We should have a relationship with Him first and foremost. The God-inspired pedagogy will come next.
