What does it look like for your own flock to “produce and reproduce?” What can you do to improve your flock’s ability to meet these goals?

To produce and reproduce my flock is to grow in quality and quantity. It means that the number of people within my flock grows as does the number of others that my flock influences. This can occur when I am a good shepherd and lead by example. I must forge ahead and set the path for them into motion and then lead them in the way that I want them to go. It is being a good leader to my flock that will result in being blessed to produce more and reproduce more as well. Prayer is also key to this process.

Growing a flock is going to take seeing opportunities where others see obstacles.

Our church has experienced little to no growth in the past few years. Our congregation is growing older and entering into that senior stage of life. Many of our young people, grew up, went off to college, and afterward moved away in search of better job opportunities. We’ve started an outreach through social media to bring more visibility to the church and to attract those in search of a church home. The exposure on social media is attracting attention and generating online followers. Our prayer is that this will be an effective tool to bring more people into the church and younger people into the church.

Encourage people to be ”Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.“
Romans 5:3-5 ESV
These bible verses also remind me that to encourage believers. 2 Peter 1:5-9
5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;m 6 and to knowledge, self-control;nand to self-control, perseverance;o and to perseverance, godliness;p 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.q8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductiver in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.s 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind,t forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.u
