God is still God in the midst of our storms. Even though we struggle with doubts and questions, we can remember how God has worked in our lives previously, and His ultimate gift of Christ’s sacrifice. We always have a reason to praise. Remembering the reasons we praise God can help us see Him clearly and remember His care in the midst of the storms. Hindsight is often seen more clearly than the present. What we learn from that can help us in the present storms.

It means: (1) to direct our complaint to God; (2) to describe our suffering; (3) to depend on God to come to our aid; (4) to dwell on God’s faithfulness and goodness.
It also means to participate in the pain of others. In a grief support group, we can learn to share our experiences, to pray together, to connect with God together, to fight the problem together. This is how to bring back a song of praise to your soul eventually.

For me it feels like lifting a burden off of my back. It feels like exhaling. I know that I feel a sense of relief when I praise God in the midst of a storm. My expectation is for God to answer my cry sooner or later.

It looks like singing through your tears, lying prostrate in surrender.
