What does the lecturer mean when she says you are here to educate your students for eternity?

I believe she is saying we are educating students to learn to love God, to understand that He loves us as individuals, to yearn after the things that He desires, and to live with His purposes for now and eternity in mind.

I believe she means that we should ensure they know the ‘real’ answers to the big questions, so that they can know their purpose and fulfill their destiny here and for eternity.

There is more to teaching academics, but to teach them about who they are, why they were made, and where they are going to be at end of life.
