We not only want to impart knowledge that will help them move to the next grade level or prepare them for a job in the future. We want to love our students with the love of Christ and share His truth with them so they will not only be prepared for the next grade level or a job in the future, but they will be prepared when Christ returns.

I responded to this in the first question already, that it gives us an eternal perspective. Present day issues/concerns are temporal. We approach students as if they are two-dimensional, containing of a physical body and mind. We obsess over these two dimension at the risk of losing their souls for all eternity.

God gave us a gift to teach others. As long as we are on Earth, we should be telling the gospel of Christ.

Educators have a role in shaping students’ understanding of their identity, purpose, and destiny in light of Christian teachings about eternal life.

Our job is bigger than collecting a check. Our job helps us establish the foundations of our students’ beliefs.
