Teaching a child about God will influence their lives for all time. It will be their choice to follow God or not. I must take the opportunity to teach them about God so they can be informed about the truth.

All people have an eternal destiny. All people have a choice in where they will spend eternity. Some will spend eternity with God and others in Hell. The difference between the two destinations is determined by how each person responds to Jesus Christ. Those who accept Jesus Christ on His terms will spend eternity with Him. Whereas, those who reject Him will spend eternity without Him in Hell. As Christian educators, it is our call to educate the child with a view of informing her/his will with the Truth so that s/he will be helped by our presence and work to choose Christ in the present age and therefore be assured of a place with Him for eternity.

We are not educators of simply math, science, or history, we are here to educate our students on what it means to be a child of God and the reality that we have a creator that loves us and made us for a reason. We are here to guide them away from the “worldly part of the world”, and point them towards what is most important in life, a relationship and love of Jesus.

Every day brings new situations for us to respond to. As Christian educators, we are modeling and teaching the truths of God’s word so that students know that God’s love, mercy, power, and grace are within them and following them every day and every minute. They have everything they need and the source of everything they need to live an abundant life here on earth and in heaven.

When the lecturer says you are here to educate your students for eternity she means that you are teaching your students that this life we are living isn’t going to last. We are put here on earth to believe in Jesus and know him fully. Also to live out what God has for us to do as far as our gifts and talents go and our goal is to get to heaven.
