God commands us to use our time to learn about creation, our role in it, and how we can fulfill God’s plan of redemption. Jesus described it as servants who were given different amounts of talents, a currency of that time. One servant was given 5 talents and, after investing, received 5 more. One was given 2 and gained 2 more. One was given 1 talent but he buried it and returned only that 1 talent with no profit. The first 2 servants were praised and rewarded for their diligence and wisdom. The last servant was rebuked and punished. The master said, “For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” Mt 25:29 God wants us to have eternal rewards, and we use our time here in our physical bodies to invest in spiritual endeavors, in the character of our students.

As Christian educators, we should teach children that they are a creation of God. We need to teach them a Biblical worldview, and how to defend that worldview.

We should teach the material all the while also interweaving a Christian philosophy into our sessions. We need to teach them a Biblical worldview and then also how to defend that worldview as they go onto further education.
