God is eternal. When we are teaching about God and his plans and his purpose we are talking about an eternal plan. It is important to remember that we are not teaching simply for the few years we have a student in our classroom but what we teach has eternal implications.

I believe she is telling us the importance of teaching our students their need of the Savior. We are all sinners in need of God’s Grace and Salvation. As Christians we know our end goal is to spend eternity with our Savior. This is true of our students as well. Our days on earth are numbered. We don’t know if God will give us 1 day or 100 years to live, so we need to make everyday count for Him. We need to teach our students to accept Christ as our personal Lord and Savior as soon as we can because we do not know when God will call them home to glory.

When the lectures states you were here to educate your students for eternity she is expressing how important is that we as educators we instill how important it is that God is with them that they are created by God and that no matter what God is there for them.
Yesterday I sat in the last chapel of the year and the eighth graders got up and they spoke about the word “joy” .Some of these children have attended the school since they were in pre-K others had come just before or right after the pandemic. To hear them Xpress what a difference attending this Christian school has made in their lives how that they know that they are special they are unique no matter what the circumstances are is what I feel that is the most important thing as teachers that we can do. -
As Christian educators, we are here to ensure that our students understand first and foremost that they need the salvation of Jesus Christ.

No accomplishment in the classroom can compare to the responsibility we have to to point our students toward Christ and His saving grace.
