What has been your past experience in local church attendance? Explain the positive and the negative.

I attend church on a regular basis. My experience has been positive.
Attend in person allows me to fellowship with other members.

Have always been a regular attender of the local church and know nothing different. Have always loved being a part of the church, but growing up mostly a check mark as what we always do…as an adult have grown in my understanding of the purpose of the church and a deeper sense of the need to be a part of the body of Christ.

I have experienced cliques; one is either in or out; super christians vs everyone else. Or maybe it was just me, I have always been somewhat of an introvert and very timid since a child. The Holy Spirit is leading me out of this though. I’m now part on an intercessory group and I have grown so much.

Growing up I attended church occasionally for a Christmas candlelight service, but had no interaction with other believers. During this time I experienced no spiritual growth, and I had no faith to speak of. When I was at university, only then did I attend church services regularly, and I was active in the campus ministry. Through that experience, I was able to develop an appreciation for the body of Christ and start to develop a sense of my own spiritual gifts. This led to a desire to spend time with fellow believers as much as possible, eventual leadership roles, and eventually, full-time missions. Now I meet with a very diverse group of believers in a home church, and I truly cherish every moment we spend together sharing our gifts, raising praises to God, growing, interceding for others, and getting truly encouraged to go back out into the world and be a light. I cannot imagine my life without regular fellowship with my church family.
