I have been a part of a church all my life. I enjoy serving others.

Sometimes the church members can be just unfriendly as the world.

I’ve been attending church faithfully since I was 11 years old. Of course, my experience over time has shaped my feelings about local assembly. I truly feel it’s necessary. When we come together we have the power to encourage, exhort, uplift and edify one another. We can share powerful testimony; letting others know that they are not alone in this journey and that there are brothers and sisters willing to come along side them. My negative experience has been weak or authoritarian leadership and cliquish behaviors that scare off new converts.

Some churches are more welcoming and thought-provoking then others. When I’m in touch with the pastor, it’s usually easier to follow the message and get some real insights from it. I like going to multiple churches to hear different interpretations.

I have enjoyed the opportunity to worship in large and small church bodies throughout my time as a Christian in the different places I have lived. In each location I believed it was important to be apart of a small group within the local body to encourage, challenge, and keep each other accountable in our walks with Christ.
