A small congregation is easy to integrate with versus large church which can be daunting to connect unless you make an effort to do so.
There is always great needs in the church for people to serve. Most church likely to have 20% serving, 80%not actively particating.
In large church, you can easily be a pew seated and not committed to any works of the church. The small church will have pastor personally to visit but large church it will fall to volunteer leaders to reach out to you.

While there have been many experiences that may count as negative, I am elated to say that my experience with the local church has been one of EXTREME joy and transformation. The Church is made of people, and people aren’t perfect, which means conflict will arise. I have worked with my all to maintain peace or make peace when necessary. As a result, God has blessed it and I have LITERALLY become a new creation. My old desires seem FOREIGN. My old thought patterns seem silly at times. I have TRULY been sharpened like an axe because of my time with other believers.

I have been very fortunate to have good home churches who love Jesus, teach God’s Word, challenge me to grow spiritually, and create spaces for deep community. The only negative experience I had was trying to find a home church during college and often times struggling to feel accepted to a group of people my age who had been attending together for a while.

Positive knowing that the Wird has been taught, negative would be the lack of personal development in building of relationships and the pleasing of the crowd.

Ive had lots of different experiences both good and bad. But I understand now, that I have to take my eyes off man and keep them on God.
