Many years I accompanied my family attending church on a regular basis, as my grandfather was a minister, my mother was the choir director and organist. As I became a teen/young adult, I fell away from my walk and church, due to arrogance, and a sense of hypocrisy in the church family. After several years, I was asked to use my gifts that were given me by God, to help lead worship in a local church. I have been attending and being fed ever since. God touched me and I opened my eyes.

Up until a year ago I attended many different churches. I enjoyed the service, learned, and the people were friendly. However, a year ago I attended what I now call my “home” church. I really felt a sense of belonging. I felt accepted and loved. Over the past year I have been nourished. I have grown and learned to serve.

I try to attend my local church regularly because it provides me with opportunity to praise and worship God corporately. It also provides opportunity to serve others in the church and in my community. Before joining the congregation I’m in now, I felt lost because I wanted to attend church service somewhere that stirred God’s spirit in my heart.

Consistency – it’s home and a place I want to invite others to come worship too
