I have attended church all my life. My father was a pastor when I was born, so I didn’t have a choice but to go. I got “churched-out” when I was younger and couldn’t wait to get older and not attend. Thankfully, through relationships made in a para-church ministry, I found a love for the Lord on my own and wanted to find a church that fit me.

My past experience in a local church has been positive when there are pastors who are not afraid of offending people. Pastors should have a desire to preach the Word from Genesis to Revelation without sugarcoating the gospel. The negative has been pastors preaching what is popular in society instead of the entire truths of the Bible.

Positive is that it can help expand and grow you and your families love for Jesus. Negative is that it is still a place where, at times, human nature can seep in and be destructive.

the positive of church attendance, is that you will learn the word of God and receive support from others in a time of need.
the negative of church attendance, not everyone is eager or interested to help you grow and mature

Attending my local church has been enable me to have fellowship and making new friends. It helps in my mental well being knowing that I will be supported at all times. The negative is it sometimes could create additional commitment into my busyness of life.
