Apologetics is defense of the Christain faith against those who don’t understand it or agree with it.
It is not accepted or understand by all.

It is the defense of Christianity, with the goal of bringing people to Christ. It does not ignore reality.

Groothuis argues that apologetics is “the defense of Christianity as objectively true, compellingly rational, and pertinent to all of life” (Lecture 1). Apologetics, or the practice thereof, is the call of every Christian (1st Peter 3:15). It is rooted in an understanding and reverence of God and His Word, as well as a logical representation of how God’s truth aligns with reality. Apologetics is not divorced from reality, nor purely experiential. It is not sanctimonious, nor represented in an approach/conversation that fails to point people toward Biblical truth.
