His overall pattern of His teachings , of His life, of His dealings with people were not actions and sayings of someone who was mad or insane. He was level headed and very clever in His answers under pressure. He was very shrewd and full of wisdom. If you said you are divine and you were not, it would show very quickly.

Jesus could not be considered a lunatic, because a lunatic acts without regard to others, safety, or with sanity. Jesus was always clear and sane in His speech. He was level-headed and not stirred to anger simply through conversation. Jesus used reason to argue points with those who wished to contradict His teachings or to trap Him.

As the lecturer says, as you take a step back and look at Christ’s work and teachings, He did not demonstrate any pattern of lunacy. He neither communicated nor acted insane. Jesus claimed to be God and His works authenticated His claims. Only God can raise the dead, open blinded eyes, heal a leaper on command, expel demons out of a child. Only God can speak to the winds and waves, and they become calm. And only God can forgive sins. His extraordinary claims were not spoken of one by one who was a lunatic but by One who demonstrated the truths for what He proclaimed. Jesus was who He said He was and is.

If you look at the overall pattern of his teachings and works, they are not those of a lunatic. He does not act or speak like a lunatic.

He was always perceptive and wise in his interactions with people. He was able to tell them things about themselves that only they would know. He was always trying to help others with kindness and compassion.
