What is the argument against Jesus’ spirit ascending to “a higher level” after His death (instead of the resurrection)?

There is evidence that he was publicly crucified. As a result he died, he was buried and he rose from death, an empty tomb was left behind, he resurrected. He appeared to different people after that and he was acknowledged as Jesus. He told his disciples he will rise from death after the third day. So historical facts took place.
