leadership takes us someplace new, management helps us do what we do

Leadership is something we do by leading people from where they are to a better place they want to be ready to be led again while learning something through the process. Management helps us do what we’re supposed to do while we’re in that place.
-
Leadership is taking charge of a thing that should be done or needs to be done and inviting others to participate in advancing that thing to goal, means, result, outcome and/or desire/
Management is moving people thru the tasks that should be performed to achieve outcomes.
-
Leaders lead others to a place different then where they are. Managers manage the place at which people already operate.
-
Leadership has a plan, a clear goal, and action steps to be taken along the way. Management maintains the status quo.
