    Leadership takes people somewhere. Management helps them do what they are supposed to do when they get there.

    Leadership is the vehicle that drives us to new places, while management is what we do once we get to those places with the people and the task.

    Thinking of it as people, managers do a great job of telling you what to do. Leaders will get their hands dirty and show you, helping along the way.

    Leadership is the process of taking people to a place where they are not. It leads them somewhere.
    Management makes sure you are doing something. Not concerning if you are getting somewhere or going somewhere.
