Leaders equip others with the abilities and opportunities to thrive towards objectives, most effectively by being in the trenches with those they lead. Managing is maintaining.

Leadership takes you where you want to go, while management manage when you get there.

Leaders move people from one place to a place people have never been. Management helps people do what they are supposed to do while in a certain place.

The difference between Leadership and management is their action. Leadership is leading the team from where they are to where they should be with the desire to be better than they were before. Management is about doing what needs to be done and accomplished.
