Management controls, puts rules in place and makes sure they are followed. A leader empowers and inspires his/her followers and listens to them. A leader gathers information from the team. A manager controls the team.

Leadership takes us someplace while management helps us do what we are supposed to be doing while we are in that place.

Leadership guide others to do the right thing and to the right place. Management is dealing with or controlling things or people.

I think… leadership is taking people where they were not previously and management is overseeing tasks

I think that leaders know how to lead by managing the ones around them. Management is just a group of people together that think they know what they’re doing. Trying to bring leader ship skills into the fold.
