The universal church is all those who profess the Name of Jesus , also call the body of Christ, the local church is the building the local members can also mean the denomination of the church.

The Universal church refers to all who believes in Jesus Christ, regardless of where one is. The local church is the church that we attend locally to grow our faith and that we are accountable to.

It is only in the local church that you will find the opportunity to be involved in community life like the body of Christ. This community life will include sound instruction in doctrine by the leaders, love for one another among believers, prayer and social support in times of trouble, openings for you to serve others lovingly for the sake of Christ. If you merely acknowledge the idea of a universal church, but do not commit to a local church, you cannot experience the joy and benefits of this doctrine.

Universal Church includes all past, present and future parts of the body

Universal church is everyone in every time who belongs to God through faith in Jesus. The local church is just that, local to each one who becomes part by belief in Jesus.
