The local church is the church in your local area where you get involved and are actively worshipping, serving, discipling, and reaching others. The universal church is the entire body of believers all over the earth – those who have accepted Christ and are living for Him.

The universal church is the body of all believers throughout time, past, present, and future, who believed in Jesus Christ and are sealed by the Holy Spirit for the day of redemption. The local church is a subset of the Universal church and consist of a geographically local group of believers who worship and serve Christ together as a spiritual family.
