What is the purpose of defending truth?

Considering there is only one truth–not a postmodernism truth vs. traditional, etc. The truth has been written in our hearts by the creator. Apologetics is about coming to terms with the fact that the justification for the truth of the gospel is just that: it is the truth, scientifically, historically, empirically, and moralistically psychologically. Defending God’s truth is defending the only truth and ministering to a confused and lost world.

First, we as Christians must know the truth which is the Word of God. Then the purpose of defending the truth is not only to defend certain ideas but is also an invitation to a new life.
