As you consider the three steps of the inductive Bible study method, which of the three do you think will be easiest for you? Do you think you will find any of them difficult? If so, which one(s)?

The easiest would be to read what was written. The hardest would be to apply it to my life. Some passages might be harder to understand what they mean – but application is also a change in behaviour which can be quite difficult.

I feel they will all be a challenge. I must slow down and focus not reading to check off a box. I struggle clearing my mind to focus because of the events I need to do. So I’d say observation will be the hardest

Honestly, observation might be the hardest for me because I lose focus and concentration when what I’m reading seems difficult to understand or irrelevant. Though I know every single word is relevant, it can be lost in translation sometimes and I don’t take the time to understand why God put that there. Once that is done, I pray that application would be easiest because I want to live a life surrendered to God and loving that which He does.

I think the first seems to be the easiest but I do not want to move quickly on that simply because it seems easiest to me as care must be taken to get each one in order because they build upon what the previous step showed us.

observation would be easiest for me to do. I would find interpretation difficult only because I would be unlearning wrong teaching/others’ interpretations of the bible handed down to me and the same can be said for application.
