What is the significance of Jesus Christ’s claim to be God?

We (sinners) needed a perfect sacrifice, which was paid in full by Jesus. He was God, yet human, who came to seek and save the lost. He was perfect.

If Jesus is not God, the entire gospel crumbles. Its the foundation of the Christian faith. God loves us so much that he himself would sacrifice himself through his son so that we can be saved.

Because of Christ’s claim to be God, as well as the evidence provided by his miracles and the gospel writer’s first-hand accounts, we can KNOW that Jesus is who he claims to be. He not only died to pay the penalty for our sins, but he rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven where He continues to work through his people, the Church. Without all of this, Christianity would be no different than any other religion; but, because of it all, we have hope!

Our faith and salvation are anchored to this truth because only God is capable of being holy and eternal. Only He can pay for our sins so that all may be saved.

<font style=”vertical-align: inherit;”><font style=”vertical-align: inherit;”>Jesus 100 % hombre y 100 % Dios. La deidad el no la nego ante los lideres religiosos, el es el unico que ha resucitado “si Cristo no hubiera resucitado, vana fuera nuestra fe”. Sana y perdona pecados.</font></font>
