Jesus being fully God and fully man is what qualifies him to be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. He was perfect and sinless.

The entire New Testament hinges on Jesus Christ’s claim to be God. Throughout the gospels there are accounts that indicate this. His miracles and especially His resurrection proves this to be true. However, the Jews of the day were looking for a warrior king to lead them and save them. So, they chose to reject Jesus and call it blasphemy that He claimed to be the son of God. It is the fact that He was entirely God and yet entirely man that allowed Him to resurrect from the dead. Jesus Christ truly is the third person of the trinity.

This statement is significant because the entire New Testament is based on Jesus being fully God and being fully human. Jesus was and is the Son of God and we see this proven over and over throughout scripture. It is only through Jesus that we can have eternal life, only He can forgive our sins, only through Him can we have eternal life.

the entire message of the bible stands and falls on this point.

It tells us that he was fully man and fully God. The redeeming quality of Christ.
