What is your favorite prayer from Scripture? What is the value of praying God’s Word?

I enjoy praying “The Armor Of God” (EPH. 6:10-18) in the morning. It helps to get my day started by reminding me that as a child of the Most High God I am in a battle everyday. As I pray this portion of scripture, I am warned and advised of what I am up against. Thus, I pray for God’s help to get me through the day.

Sometimes when I can’t sleep I repeat the Lord’s prayer, after each verse, I pray it in my own words. Psalm 23 is also a favorite.

Psalm 139:23-24
New International Version
23 Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. -
The Lord’s prayer and (but I also like Psalm 23 as well)

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. When I’m struggle to wait and I find my self anxious this prayer helps me understand that God has heard and will move.
