I enjoy Psalm 23 the most. It’s one that really comforts me. However, I don’t know that I ever really thought of these as prayers I pray. I think I mainly thought of these verses as scripture that were beautiful to read and think about. Using them as prayers is definitely something I am going to try.

Psalm 119:34
Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart. -
Psalm 51 is a prayer of David when he was confronted by the prophet about his awful sins of adultery and murder. I love it for its candidness – he wasn’t putting up a show anymore. It reveals the pain he caused his own soul by violating God. It contains a humble cry to God to restore him, leaning solely on God’s mercy, not on personal goodness because there is no good in ourselves. Yet it isn’t a morbid prayer. It carries hope that when God restores him he is going to testify for God.
