“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me .“ Thank You for being my comfort, Lord! -

My father has been suffering from cancer and whenever he has a bad period I refer to Romans 10 and Deuteronomy 31:8 – these in particular offer comfort for me as I pray that my father will be helped to be comfortable and be healthy. I have two prayers books and i read at random at least 2 prayers a day. I would say that they are all favourites but each has a time when they are more useful to us.

Thank you, Lord, for being my strength and my song in the time of trouble, and on a daily basis, I find strength in you oh Lord!!! Thank you for you are my salvation!!! Amen -

In my mind, I am trying to go over some of the prayers that I know, but the one that stood out to me from the lesson was the prayer of the father: I do believe; Lord, help my disbelief. That often sums up my life, especially when asking for things. I believe that God CAN do anything, but I don’t necessarily have faith that he WILL do what I am asking for. So for now, that will be my favorite prayer. Hopefully I will mature to the point where that doesn’t have to be my prayer any more.
