What kind of mission work have your students been involved in? How have you seen it impact them?

All high schoolers at our school spend a week on a service trip every year. I am attended the Tecate trip where students build an entire house for a family in a few days. These trips are so impactful and help students see what it is like for others in different parts of the world. They see first hand the love of Christ.

We have no mission work in elementary except for when they write letters to veterans or other activities of this kind, but they don’t travel anywhere.

This is something I would like to work on in my class. Currently, my school does not have any service projects. I teach a younger class but I would love to see the junior high students do an outreach project to serve the community.

At our school, each class picks a month and they do a service project. We talk about the project and how it will help. It has made the students think about others and how they can respond to the needs of others.

We collected toys for less fortunate kids and made cards for the retirement home.
