Muslims must uphold certain beliefs strictly and live up to ritualistic requirements of Islam in order to be saved and live forever in paradise. To be saved, a Muslim must affirm that God is one, view Muhammad as the greatest of all the prophets, accept the Koran as inspired revelation, believe that God decrees everything that happens, recite the Islamic confession, heed the calls to prayer, keep the fasts, give alms, and make at least one pilgrimage to Mecca. Some Muslims also require belief in jihad (or holy war). Then they still have to only hope to get to be there, since they really have no reassurance because it is merely as God wills.

To live forever in paradise, a Muslim must acknowledge Allah as God, confess Islam as his religion, declair Muhammad as the greatest of all prophets, accept the Koran as inspired revelation, believe that God is the cause of all things that happen, recite the Islamic confession and pray during commanded times of prayer, fast, give alms, and participate in at least one pilgrimage to Mecca.

Muslim must do the following:
1. Accept Allah and read the Koran 2. Make a pilgrimage to Mecca 3. See Mohammed as a great prophet 4. Keep fasting and Alms. 5. Recite the Islamic confession

Keep the fasts, make a trip to Mecca, affirm God as one, affirm Muhammad as God’s greatest prophet, keep the prayers, give alms, … but all this does not assure him of paradise; this decision ultimately rests with Allah.

Must accept Muhammad as the greatest prophet, follow several rituals and believe in Allah. Plus they must go to Mecca once.
