Not a lot of new insights but rather a good reminder and refreshing of what is already known.

From reading the enclosed literature on Daniel, I learned that at the age of 16 he was wiser than where I am at now. I consider myself very new at learning about God and the reasoning behind the Bible stories. I find it utterly amazing how at 20 he was advising a King. I always figured it would take years and years and even maybe a Lifetime to understand a fraction of who God is. Daniel understood God at 16 and was convicted in not deviating the teachings of the Old Testament. I have a hard time wrapping my mind on how someone so young was so knowledgeable and hope one day my Understanding can be a smidgen of his.

It is very clear that accepting Jesus as my savior and admitting my sins is the only way to heaven.

I was newly encouraged by reading 2 Corinthians 3:18 in that I am being transformed into the image of God with ever-increasing glory. As I grow in the Lord, I am magnifying His glory in this world.

The scriptures reminded me that it is not by works that we become believers. We accept Christ by faith. And once we accept him as our Lord we are called to walk out and grow in our relationship with God. We do not meet God and stay the same, we meet God and grow in him.
