Isaiah 64 : 6 – All of us are sinners. One of the biblical requirements for us to get in the journey of Salvation is to recognize the seriousness of our sin. Many times in my life, I realize that I have a tendency to judge and take issue with other’s sin and not admitting my sin as a big deal. This prevent me from growing in Christlikeness formation.

A key verse for the assurance of salvation comes from 1 John 5:13 – “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.”

A gentle reminder that we are all sinners in need of a savior. It is far too easy to forget that our salvation has nothing to with our resume and everything to do with Jesus’ resume. Like Isaiah 64:6 says, “Our righteous acts are like filthy rags”.

Not a new insight but a clear reminder that salvation has nothing to do with us, and everything to do with what Christ did for us.

Despite our existence as fundamentally sinful beings, God loves us more than we could even begin to fathom, and He invites us to receive the gift of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ via the acceptance of Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour. Once we have experienced this rebirth into the Christian faith, God expects us to embark on a lifelong journey of spiritual growth as we strive to become more like Jesus in every aspect of our lives.
