I have receive new insights in the answer Jesus gave to Nicodemus. That is why the Bible states in 1 Corinthians 2:14 that “the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God. Nicodemus was thinking of the physical or temporal things but Jesus was thinking of spiritual things. Also, the scripture reference of 1 John1, clarifies for me that disobedience or sin prevents fellowship with God. We should walk in the Light. God redeems humanity for us to walk in light. If we confess our sins He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This will lead us into spiritual growth and restore our relationship with God.

I learnt that once I call on the name of Jesus and believe in Him I become a child of God. That we all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, and the wages of sin is death. But through Jesus, we have the gift of eternal life.

Through this gift, we must now grow spiritually to become more like Jesus. This happens through the reading of the Word (God speaking to us), prayer (we speaking to God), witnessing (speaking to unbelievers), and fellowshipping (speaking to other believers).

I learned that you can be a Christian but not a true Christian. you need to accept that you are a sinner
and ask for forgiveness and truly accept Jesus as our lord and savior.
