    It is not enough to know intellectually about our need for salvation through Jesus, we need to accept Him as our Savior and then live a life that exemplifies the new life we have in Him.

    That we are all sinners and that the wages of sin is death. But while we were sinners, Christ died for us. We can’t earn salvation, our righteousness is as filthy rags. This is so sobering and brings me to humility. Knowing that Jesus died for me, in my helpless state, causes me to live in gratitude and gives me a desire to love and know Him more and more.

    Justification is a one time act whereby God declares us righteous based on the work of Christ
    Sanctification is the ongoing work of becoming more like Christ as I gaze at Him.

    We can’t change ourselves. When accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, only GOD can change us through the guidance of the holy spirit to become more like Jesus Christ our redeemer.
