What obstacle do you struggle with when it comes to prayer? What helps you overcome that obstacle?

My biggest obstacle is wandering thoughts. What helps me overcome that obstacle is acknowledging that I am not focused, ask God for forgiveness and continuing with my prayer.

I talk to God throughout the day at various times when I think of things I want to talk to Him about or ask for forgiveness. I struggle with setting an intentional uninterrupted time to devote to prayer. I am going to schedule prayer time going forward.

For me it is definitely business. I have a hard time clearing my thoughts and focusing on talking to God when I know I have so much to do in a day. Being intentional and following a routine is what helps me overcome this struggle.

Business. I feel pressured to rush through or feel too tired when ‘God time’ arrives. I have been more or less successful so far; these things sometimes keep me awake at night and prevent me from falling asleep again. However, I will apply this strategy and I believe it will work: ‘turn it into a prayer’.

I struggle always with distraction:
Past sins, worldly concerns and
Sometimes just daydreams.
I will continue to pray always with
Emphasis on seeking quiet spaces.
