As a teacher of small children, I often use a hefty amount of physical items to model what we are learning about. This is very efficient for them.

As I am a counselor I don’t actually teach a course aside from career-related curriculum. However based on my experience when teaching something that is important and when I wanted them to remember, repetition is the key as well as asking them to practice it on their own so they could recall it again when needed. It would depend on the student as well, on how serious they are taking it.

Probably not enough. My kids are so young, I am hoping this course gives some ideas.

We call these “connections”, real life events to help students learn concepts in our understanding of reading comprehension. These are very effective, because these connection times cause the learner to dig into their own experiences or they can relate to the experiences of their friends.

I use biblical verses and devotions at the beginning of my courses. The students engage and we discuss what the verses mean. We discuss in depth depending on the guided discussion of the stsudents.
