I teach math and I must confess that I can do a better job of incorporating the bible into my curriculum.

I currently have whole class discussions about topics to help them think deeper about subjects. We also sometimes break into smaller groups to allow the opportunity for some of the quieter students to speak. Once a week my students have to write in a journal also, this allows them the freedom to share private thoughts they have on deeper topics. I believe it is effective for the most part.

I have students discuss in groups and partners as we are learning. They also work collaboratively on assignments. They also read their bible daily. I think these practices do work because it gives them opportunities to tell what they are thinking and make connections.

I think it’s important to allow time in the classroom for students to read God’s word and then to allow time for small group discussion and application. It’s encouraging to see young people sharing their faith and encouraging one another.

I have been encouraged to integrate a Biblical worldview in my classroom. I think it starts with my continued dedication to God’s word and continuing to apply Biblical understanding to my lessons. It is something I would like to improve upon in my classroom this coming year.
