What role should the teachings of the book of Song of Songs play in the instruction of young people today?

There doesn’t seem to be interest in God’s plan. Marriage is no longer the plan for many young adults. We truly need this book. The whole idea of love, love between a man and a woman, has been twisted in our world today. Few people are left with the truth of what God meant married love to be.

I think it should be part of a course curriculum in the church for young people today, it would help them to identify a real loving relationship from a counterfeit.

How to love correctly and more so beyond the physical. We can learn these lessons no matter the age.

The book can inform young people about what passion and intimacy in love leading towards marriage should look like. A couple can cultivate and enjoy intimacy at the intellectual, emotional, spiritual, financial and physical levels. It is not only about sex. Perhaps youth groups can organize a Bible study series or a workshop on this book to understand love in a better and balanced way.
