What spiritual gifts do you think you may have? If you are not sure, what steps might you take to find out?

Discovering spiritual gifts is a lifelong adventure because, as I mature, God may yet give gifts that I do not have. Nevertheless, currently, I think I have the gift of teaching and the gift of counseling (which may spill over into the gift of mercy, the word of knowledge, and the word of wisdom).

The gift of serving. I’m fairly good at a lot of different things. And I enjoy working with my hands. So, being able to assist those who can’t or don’t know how gives me joy.

I have the gift of encouragement. I went through a course to discover this and the outcome aligns with what I have always found very easy and natural. I was also said to have the gift of teaching. Now, this is what I did professionally and it is easy one-on-one, teaching courses was definitely a job/work for me! But, I did encourage my students!

Definitely have : Gift of Helps
Not sure:
– Administration
– Discernment
– Encouragement
– Knowledge
– WisdomI know I definitely do have the gift of helps through active church ministry in guest services.
Have yet to know for sure whether i have the rest as I haven’t had the opportunity.I might find out if I have any gift in administration and discernment soon for one of the upcoming events. For Encouragement, Knowledge and Wisdom, I’d need to draw closer to God and spend more time reflecting on His word to know for sure.
I do find excitement and joy when I get the chance to study the Bible in depth, which only grew the closer I got to God. I’m thankful to have more time this year. Praise the Lord. Amen.
Other gifts that I don’t think I have but have no exposure to and thus can’t confirm.
– Hospitality (I’d need to have the resources available to really provide the environment. I might have this from the few instances in being a member of the guest services team)
– Intercession (I pray a lot, but I do not know if the results are frequent or specific.)
– Shepherding (No exposure to any leadership roles to know for sure)
– Teaching (I do spend extended times of study and reflection of God’s word –every single break time that I can find, I find more relaxation and peace from Bible Study as opposed to what I usually go to before I was saved (reading fiction or shows or games). I’m not sure about being able to clearly explain and apply in a way that is understood by others.)Definite No’s for Gifts
– Evangelism (I find myself like Moses in my lack of faith when it comes to this)
– Faith (The point above)
– Giving (This is a painful lesson that I’m still learning from God, to be able to manage and look after His money)
– Leadership (Same for point 1)
– Mercy (I… don’t think I feel deeply for them? I often find myself praying for a more caring heart instead.)
– Prophecy (If Paul was to have a Gift of Prophecy even when he has no Bible to read from to be familiar with God’s truth, then I definitely do not have this gift.)
