Honestly, I’m not sure. We have objectives, but I haven’t seen them as mastery objectives till now. With Covid, we have had two completely different years trying to figure things out.

Yes, we have standards we have to meet for graduation, but our ultimate standard is that our students know they are created in the image of God, that we are all sinners in need of God’s grace, and that Christ came to this earth to die on the cross to die to redeem us from all our sins.

We use standards that we that our school has developed itself that meet or exceed state and national standards but that are based on LCA standards developed by Liberty University and those by the Florida Department of Education. We also use ITSE standards for technology.

We have both academic standards that meet or exceed the state standards. We have standards and expectations on student conduct that relate to a biblical view of conduct.

Each department has goals/objectives that provide academic standards for content and skill development. Students are required to take a sequences of courses mandated by the state, and college bound students are advised on course requirements for public universities in the state. Students also have to take standardized tests for assessment each year, along with the ACT as a graduation requirement. Many students enroll in AP courses, which also have standards for course planning and assessment.
