We use the Ohio state standards along with Textbook publisher recommendations. We pair that with teacher knowledge and create our own standards and objectives.

We have standards and objectives that align with our biblically based curriculum. We use our scope and sequence given in our curriculum guides. We use assessment in both formal and informal ways and participate each spring in standardized testing written for Christian schools.

My school uses Common Core Standards with standard based assessments. We also have AP courses and ACSI requirements like Bible courses.

Our present standards are State driven. Common core directs most learning curriculum. However, our governor has recently began the weeding out of Common core. It will take some time, but Civics is one that has been integrated first. Most educators in our state agree that Civics is important in the growth of our country.
