What time and place would be best for you to study the Bible and pray? Why?

Right when I wake up, usually very early, when all is quiet and there are no noisy distractions

In the morning hours after waking. Distractions are at a minimum during this time.

The most ideal time for me to study the Word is in the mornings, downstairs at my desk, before my family is awake and the responsibilities of the day begin. I feel like dedicating this time to God sets me up for the entire day. I also feel that by doing it first thing, it ensures that I am putting my best energy toward learning. In the past, I have tried studying at the end of the day but found that by that time I am already wiped out from the day and not present enough to truly be committed to learning and understanding.
