In the morning in my bedroom from 7 am – 8 am during the week I devote to spending time with God by reading the Word and the descriptions and applications in my Bible and following the Bible in One Year plan from Alpha International. it is quiet before the hustle/bustle of the day starts

I like to spend my personal time with Jesus in the mornings at my kitchen table before I get going in the day. When I start off my day in God’s Word and praying for the tasks ahead, my attention is on Him and He helps me through

Ideally I am one who likes to study uninterrupted. But I do find myself distracted by my own thoughts. The best time for me to study would be early morning before work and the family awakes and it would be best in my living room with a candle and quiet peace.

I am not a morning person, but I have always felt impressed upon to become one and start my day out with Bible study and prayer. I also like to take brief breaks in the day and read the Bible. I like to pray at night and reflect upon the day. I do need to be more disciplined with all of this.

I do not sleep much, so I often have time in both the early morning before my family wakes, and after they have all gone to bed. I have recently committed to not work late at night, and I have committed to spending time with the Lord in the morning, and again at night. I have often sought out perfectly quite places to do my Bible study, but I appreciate C.S. Lewis’ suggestion that it is better to have the right amount of distraction, so I hope to include this as well.
