What was happening in Jerusalem on that weekend? Of what value were the witnesses who could share testimony of what they had seen and heard?

It was passover time, so there were numerous visitors and witnesses available. Credibility and veracity is increased the more the same report is given regarding the event. With so many witnesses, you’d think there would be at least one come forward who said “He didn’t die. I saw it.” Yet there is not one!

The Passover was happening. There would have been many people in Jerusalem; so there would have been many people to witness the crucifixion of Christ. There would have been many witnesses of all types; believers and unbelievers. The testimony that would have been given would have had great value, since it was from such a diverse group of witnesses.

Crucifixion. The value is great. Jesus was crucified and died on the cross publicly. The eyewitness testimony would have been truthful.
